Kinera Foundation recognizes that families of children with special needs and disabilities require extra programs, resources, support, training and workshops to help them navigate daily life, school and education, social opportunities and activities, as well as other aspects of life. Throughout the year, Kinera offers a variety of programs geared for parents/caregivers and families to address these needs. Kinera Connect/Kinera Cares provides a supportive network of parents and caregivers. Please check back for updates. Thank you!
Kinera Connect is a chance for parents of children with special needs to come together in a supportive setting, to gain information for assisting their children and families, further educate themselves on aspects of special needs areas, gain a support network, and share ideas from family to family.
Kinera Cares is a network of parents and caregivers who meet using virtual technology. Kinera Cares offers a weekly meeting on Wednesdays at 7pm for parents to connect, discuss specific concerns and topics, and socialize. Please email Julie Vallecillo if you are interested in joining the online, virtual network: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Special Needs Teen Support Group In addition to the Kinera Cares virtual parent group, there are Kinera Cares virtual groups for Tweens & Teens (ages 11-17) and for Adults (ages 18+). For more information about these two groups, please contact Kate McCloskey for more information: email@example.com.
