Erin Ashinghurst
Transition Program Coordinator, The Parents’ Place of Maryland

Erin Ashinghurst has developed and applied her skills across multiple roles, including resource coordinator, health program administrator, program lead and deputy director of a small disability-led nonprofit.

​

Her work often focuses on helping students prepare for life after high school, collaborating with school teams, teaching self-advocacy and independent living skills, and connecting families with valuable resources.

​

Erin’s own experience navigating life with a disability shapes her work and her commitment to helping others. She is passionate about giving people the tools and information they need to build inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to grow and thrive.

​

Erin holds a Master of Science in Human Services Management and Special Education from McDaniel College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and dogs, as well as hiking, reading and traveling.
